Sunset clouds over Fondi, painted a few moments before the sun goes down behind the mountains. Pink and violet in the clouds, deep blue in the sky above them.
Until the move to Italy, Igorski believed that clouds like these could not exist in Italian paintings. Once in Italy, Igorski saw those volumes and colours in the sky.
The sky of Fondi can be looked at, and copying it does not work. Igorski painted the feelings that came while looking at it.
Available exclusively from the artist, not listed on Etsy. The pastel comes with a mat, in a plexiglass frame with a cardboard backing. It suits a living room or a study.
